Team Work

Teamwork is a term to describe a group of people working together to achieve a goal.

Teamwork consists of three main mechanisims. Communicaton is talking to or planning somthing out. When people in a dodgeball team communicate they tell each other when a ball is coming their way.

Cooperation is being a good team member while working together. People in a dodgeball team cooperate by listening and following a plan to be successful.

Collaboration is working together to be successful or finish something. An example of collabration is when players in a dodgeball team collabrate and work together in a game to win.

To be successful as a team all there mechenisims need to be implemented throughout the activity.

Making Connection

Making Connections is joining information to make a deeper understanding for the reader.

Text to self is where people connet the text to there own experiences: For example The duck tricked the rat by saying there is food at the mountian, trick my brothers by saying i will give you my phone if you give me your food but then I don’t.

Text to text connection are when people  compare the text are reading to other similar texts. These texts could be book or visual texts such as a movie or TV programme: For example The duck lead the rat to a cave,The grandma leads the wolf inside the house because the grandma thought it was the Red Riding Hood.

Text to world is when people connet what they are reading to things that really happens in the outside world: For exampleThe duck gave water to the horse and retured food with the villages, People give food and drinks to the homeless people so they can survive and not get hungry or thisrty.

Making connections are an important way to understand a meaning. Connecting texts to other things or people can help you understand similairities.

Basic Facts Boxes 2021

I completed basic facts boxes addtion. The basic facts boxes challenge is to answer the questions quickly.

I got 100/100 correct and my time was 6m and 43s. The hardest row of addtion to do was my 5 and 4 addition.

I need to work on my 5 and 4 addition because I kept on getting stuck on them, and moving on. My goal is next time to do addition and keep on moving on.

 

Multiplication

Multiplication is a fast way of adding number any times. The three, four and six times table are examples of multiplication.

The three times table are multiplying three by a number group. The four times table are multiplying four by a number group. The six times table are multiplying six by a number group.

The time table are an easy way to remember basic multiplication equations. The next time table to learn are the seven, eight, and nine times table.

Duffy Role Model

Marc Duffy is a duffy role model who tells people about his childhood and how he got better at reading. Marc also went through good times and bad times in his childhood. Also why is reading important.

When Marc was at school he didn't know how to read left side and the right side. Then the kids started to bully him outside on the feild.

Marc Duffy went to prison becusea he went with bad people and went to prison. Marc went to prison for 4 years and learnt how to read by a teacher.

Marc Duffy become a NewZealand fight for life boxing lightweight champ.

Marc Duffy learnt how to trade of a builder and owned is own business. Marc worked for Bunnings fitting out their stores. Now Marc manages the largest store in NewZealand which is in Hamilton.

He went back to University to be a counsiler.

Marc is a amazing insprartion and he is a big role model. Marc works hard to acheive his goals.

 

 

Private vs Public Information

Public Information is something that can be posted on the internet and can be shared with other people.

Private Information should be kept private and should not be on internet or something bad could happen.

If Information isn't kept safe, it could be shared, bordcast, copied, or stolen.

LI: to differentiate between public and private information.

Collaboration is working to be successful or finish somrthing. An example of collabration is when players in a dodgeball team collabrate and work together in a game to win.

Character Trait The Duck

A  character trait is describing an action of the character.

A character trait uses adjectives to decribe the character. In the Highway Rat there was 3 character that can be describe using traits.

The duck is confident because she tries to defend herself from the highway rat so he doesn't take her cupcake.

The duck is clever becaus the duck lead the rat to the duck sisters cave in the mountain. The rat gose into the cave and the duck runs to the horse so the rat dose not treat the horse bad foods.

Using these adjectives it can be inferred that the Duck is clever, respectful, brave.

Using Character traits can help the reader understand how or why a character is doing something.
